Coco-Cola is one of the world’s most consumed soda. But apart from being a refreshing beverage it’s also a great grease stain remover. What happens is the acid in the cola will react with the grease particles and lifts it from your clothes.

To do this, apply a few liters or cans of cola to completely cover the clothes in a container. Then leave it to soak for at least 30 mins or overnight for a much better result.

Your next step is to toss it into your washer with normal laundry detergent and run a regular cycle.

Liquid Dishwashing Detergent Method

We all use dishwashing soap in the kitchen to remove heavy grease and oil from your plates, pots and pans. With the same result, you can use dish detergent to remove black grease stains from clothes.

Add drops of liquid dishwashing detergent to the area you want to treat. Use no more than 1 tsp, dishwashing liquid can be foamy so you don’t need a lot.

Next, use your hands or a soft brush to rub it in and cover the stained spot with soap. Then leave that to sit for at least 20mins. After that, put it into the washing machine and wash it with hot water and regular detergent.

I love the smell of baby powder. It protects the skin against moisture, rush and it keeps a baby cool and comfortable. You can also use baby powder to remove grease from your favorite clothes without a nasty stain.

Sprinkle a generous amount of baby powder over the stain, and then rub it into the stained area really well.  You can use a soft cotton cloth or sponge.

Next, brush or shake off the excess powder, repeat this process two to three more times until most of the grease is removed.

Then take it to the machine and wash it with detergent for a final clean.

Degrease It with WD-40

Yes, you should have known. WD40 also can remove black grease stains from clothes. Its many uses, one of which is to remove that dark grease stain from fabrics.

Focus on spraying the WD40 only on the stained area. Then let it sit for 30mins to loosen the grease from the material.

Next, apply no more than a teaspoon of Dawn dish soap, and then rub or brush it into the stained area.

Then you allow this to sit again for a further 15 to 30mins.
